Pastor Andrew Yeager

He was ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry in 2010 after having studied at Concordia Theological Seminary (Masters of Divinity, 2010) and Concordia University, Ann Arbor (B.S., 2006). Pastor Yeager’s first call was to serve CTS-Ft. Wayne as Admission Counselor, a position he had for two years, recruiting prospective students for the Office of the Holy Ministry. In 2013, Pr. Yeager accepted a call to Zion Lutheran Church in Garrett, Indiana, where he served as sole pastor until 2018.

Pastor met his wife Heather in college, Concordia University, Ann Arbor. They were married in 2007 and are blessed with three children, Andrew, Mary, and Eve, who go to Wyneken and love their school.

Pastor is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. Though he has lived in the Midwest for over a decade, his love for the Ravens, Orioles, and Maryland Terps has not abated, but intensified.

Pastor is delighted to serve this growing congregation of Lutherans faithful to the Scriptures and Lutheran Confessions, committed to their school, Wyneken Memorial, and bound together in faith, hope, and love by Christ’s blessed gifts in Word and Sacrament.

Pastor Yeager has served as St. Paul’s Senior Pastor since October 2018.

Connie Garner

Connie began her musical studies at age 7 taking piano lessons with Mrs. Matilda Schaekel, a long-time member of St Paul Lutheran Church. She continued her piano studies with LeAnn Busick and Lela Gerber and also studied flute throughout middle and high school. She began working with Ken Germann, organist at St Paul Lutheran Church, as a flutist to enhance many church services. The two worked together for many years as he taught and influenced her church music skills.

As a senior in high school, Connie began playing the organ for local churches. Connie went on to study music at Indiana - Purdue Fort Wayne, with a concentration in piano and choral music. Connie often substituted for Mr. Germann and took over the full-time musical director position in 1999. Connie accompanied local school choirs and soloists for nearly 30 years and continues to accompany The Lutheran Chorale, a combined choir of local district Missouri Synod congregations. She has enjoyed singing with the Mennonite Choral Society for over 20 years as they annually present Handel's Messiah.

She has been married to Lynn Garner since 1986 and they have two children together, Nathan and Samantha, with whom she was able to share her love of music.
